We had a Lovely Time Here
The end of our vacation is here again. It is so nice to be able to do nothing and not to feel that you should be doing something. We’ve mostly lazied by the pool or enjoyed the beach. Your beach chairs with the carrying pouches were perfect. The seaweed was not as bad as we thought it would be, and the town seems to be working hard at cleaning it up. We had a really cool rain storm, the skies opened up. It never rains hard like that at home. Other than that, the weather has been great, cooling down at night so you can sleep easy. We did notice that Playa is definitely more busy and more expensive, but that’s the way of the world. We had a chance to meet some of the long-term renters and owners while here. They are all lovely people and we had nice visits in the pool. Your condo as always is really great, it’s easy to feel at home here. Thank-you again for your hospitality. God Bless.

We Love the Pool

You truly are the best hosts we have ever had! What a nice condo, it was great to escape back to the quiet oasis. Lots to do inn the area. We went to Xplor, swam with the dolphins, snorkeled at Puerto Morelos (loved!) and beach time all were wonderful. Found you dont get any deals and needed to get away from 5th. The white binder was amazing and we used it a lot. Thank-you. Would highly recommend this condo. Mark and Laurie are amazing!

So Many Good Restaurants!
We thank you so muck Mark and Laurie. We’ve really enjoyed staying in your cozy condo here in PDC. We love your location on the top floor with the private balcony. The kitchen has so many nice pots, dishes, tools! If you haven’t tried La Primier Plata or Diego’s Corina, you should! One block past the airport

Casa de Sueňo was Perfect!
We had a wonderful visit (and Laurie was so helpful)! Highlights of our trip were visits to Chichen Itza, the cenote @ Selva Maya, Tulum and the local beaches. Maybe best of all was just enjoying the bird life from the balcony.

Wonderful Home!
Thank-you so much for your wonderful Home. My little boy (and me) loved “Iggy” the iguana who lives in your tree and “Mr and Mrs Aguti” (and their two babies. Wonderful stay!
The location is wonderful! We walked to the beach every day! Playacar and Casa de Sueno are a perfect balance of serenity and, proximity to town and beach. The condo is accurately portrayed in the description. The cleaning service was excellent and very friendly. We enjoyed making meals in and venturing out for the numerous restaurant options. The condo was very comfortable.

The best of Playacar
Perfect location. Beautiful condo with many luxuries. You could just live by the gorgeous pool. Friendly neighbors. Mgmt company very responsive. Laurie the owner very welcoming and helpful. The only down-side is having to leave this paradise.

The condo was fabulous as well as the property manager and her team! They were so accommodating and resourceful! We loved the Tulum and Cenote trip and spending the days at a nearby beach club! Our stay was absolutely amazing!

We love this place!
My husband and I have just returned home from our second annual trip to Casa de Sueno. We just love it there! The condo is in the quiet Playacar neighborhood with other condos and lovely homes. It is a perfect location. We have no need for a car because we walk everywhere; the beach, restaurants, 5th avenue and the grocery store. We let the property manager arrange a private van to pick us up at the airport in Cancun and return us there at the end of our stay for $70 USD each way. For major grocery trips we walk to the store and use a taxi to carry us back with our groceries. The condo itself is stylishly decorated, clean, up-to-date and furnished with absolutely everything one could need. It truly feels as though the owners of a tastefully decorated and organized home have just walked out. We comfortably prepared breakfast and lunch there and ate dinner at one of the numerous restaurants within walking distance. We spend much of our time on the balcony which overlooks the golf course, manicured yard and pool. The balcony is shaded and the perfect place to read, enjoy breakfast, or observe the birds that come to roost in the tree nearby. For those looking for more activity, the tourist area on 5th Avenue is just a 6 minute walk. The ferry to Cozumel for a day of snorkeling is also there. Both the condo owners (Laurie and Mark) and the local property managers are very responsive. An in-person orientation to the property is provided upon arrival and any questions or minor issues that arise during our stays have been addressed immediately. Our visits have been easily the most relaxing of all our vacations and we look forward to continuing our tradition of returning annually!

Relaxing vacation
The condo was very relaxing and provided everything we needed during our stay. We did not use the pool but it was lovely to look at while sitting on the balcony watching the birds. The location is optimal for walking to the beach, shopping or to dine. A couple of days we had rain showers and umbrellas were available to use as well as beach bags. Really the only thing we needed that was not provided were our clothes. Condo is very clean and tastefully decorated. The notebook provided was so useful when choosing a place to eat or something to do.. we even ordered in using instructions in the info book. We are so thankful to Laurie and Mark for sharing their home with us and definitely highly recommend vacationing there if you are looking for a stress free vacation.

Clean, well-equipped condo with a great location and awesome pool.
This is the perfect spot to enjoy Playa. It is close to the beach and all the fun, food and drink the city has to offer. Both the owner and the property management company were friendly and so responsive. Such a terrific guide book in the condo that tells you all you need to know. We used the pass to the Reef Club and had a blast. I can't say enough good things. I want to go back right now…

Great location, beautiful condo and pool.
We really enjoyed this property and hope to stay here again. The condo is beautiful and very well stocked with anything and everything you could need for a beach vacation. The pool is amazing and was never crowded. All of the attractions of the 5th Ave area are a short walk. We walked in and around every day with a 3 year old and a 6 year old without any problems. Lastly, we had a great experience with the owners and property manager. Everyone was extremely helpful and attentive. If you stay here, read the binder the owners put together. It has so much great information about the area.

Lovely time & perfect location
The condo was clean, spacious and conveniently located. We appreciated having a full jug of drinking water ready to use. The property managers were professional and did a great job showing us how everything worked. The information binder was a fabulous resource and I'm sure a lot of time went into organizing it - you made our trip easier and fun, thank you! The neighbors were very quiet and we enjoyed the serene place to come home to each evening after full days at the beach, snorkeling, shopping, visiting restaurants etc. We enjoyed having the beach towels, sand toys, chairs and bags to use - the Caddy Sack, what an amazing contraption! We enjoyed exploring the Playacar development on foot, as we are joggers, and the nice sidewalks made for a great running track, the neighborhood is beautiful. Be mindful of pedestrian crosswalks, which are painted and slippery when wet. Our 2 kids were able to handle the walk into Playa del Carmen 2x a day easily. We took advantage of being so close to the ferry and enjoyed a day trip over to Cozumel. Thanks for the awesome stay!

Wonderful place, excellent location!
This is such a wonderful condo!!! We were a little nervous about the travel alerts but NEVER felt uncomfortable or unsafe in this beautiful gated community! The owner, Laurie, is beyond conscientious and has a binder in the unit that has EVERYTHING you will ever need for reference on the area. She even has 3/5 index cards of detailed directions in Spanish to give to cab drivers! So helpful!!! In the unit there is a magic jack phone that provides free long distance to the States. We had left a sick dog behind and were able to check in with the dog sitter at no cost! This was such a comfort!! My daughter and I are runners and there is a bike/walking path that surrounds the entire community which is about five miles. The neighborhood is beautifully landscaped and properties very well kept we also rode the nice bikes around these paths. I loved staying here! I can't say enough about how lovely it is and did I mention private? This is a 12 unit property and it was so quiet and we had the pool to ourselves. We were so comfortable here in this very clean, well maintained, updated and finely decorated condo. All the comforts you need electronically too... Great WIFI!!! Lots of games and extras. One rainy day we had a family monopoly game! This property is exactly as the owner has described it. Only good surprises like the chilled plastic glasses in the freezer!! Awesome place!!!

Superb Location in Playa Del Carmen
Casa de Sueno is perfectly situated for enjoying both the excitement of 5th Ave. and the natural beauty of the area. It is just a short stroll to the beautiful beach and the amazing restaurants and shopping of Playa del Carmen but situated in the most beautiful tropical atmosphere imaginable. The casa is spacious and beautifully decorated and contains all the little things (beach towels and chairs, bikes, kitchen, laundry and bath supplies) that make a condo vacation enjoyable. The owners and local property manager were very helpful all through the planning of our vacation and we can't say enough good things about them. My wife, two daughters and I have traveled extensively and rate Casa de Sueno right at the top of our list of favorite lodgings. We can't wait to go back!

We Loved Our Stay!
We spent two weeks at this condo with our family. Everything was just as described by the owners. We were a short 10 min walk to 5th ave as well as the beach. The beach was the best beach in Playa as there were just white sands and minimal people. We were very impressed with how well the unit was stocked with so many features including two bikes with locks, beach chairs and umbrellas, and plenty of pool floaties not to mention masks and snorkels, beach bags, coolers, sun hats etc. The condo was updated with comfy new furniture (and beds), and was impressively spacious! The management always responded immediately to our needs and supplied us with plenty of fresh drinking water upon request. The owners called the day we checked in to insure everything went smoothly and to see if there was anything we needed for our stay which we were very impressed by their personalized care. We will definately come back to this condo on our next trip to Playa and have already recommended it to our friends and family.

Perfect stay in Playacar !
Playacar is ideal for families looking for a safe place to stay in Playa del Carmen and access to a great beach. Mark' and Laurie's condo is ideally located in Playacar 5min from 5th Avenue and 10 min from the beach. The condo is very, very, well appointed (bikes, pool toys, snorkel gears, beach towels, etc.), the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms very spacious. Shopping for food is easy either by taxi or by bike. We would cook most of the meals and go to the restaurant every 2-3 days. Lots of restaurants are within walking distance or a short cab rid away. We would finish every evening with a swim and a drink at the pool after a full day at the beach or some excursions (note: the organized tours had no problem picking us uo directly at the condo.) The condo also gives you access to the reef club resort (no food or drink included). We went there a few times and enjoyed it (a great option if you don't want to carry your beach chairs and beach umbrellas) but we were always happy to come back to our private condo and almost private pool as there was not often people in the pool. We stayed for 3 weeks in the condo, 3 adults and 1 child. Another plus, if you are doing an extended stay like we did, full cleaning of the condo (including change of bedding and clean towels) one a week is included. Very nice service and very efficient. Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay with guaranteed sun !

Beautifully quiet, close to everything oasis!
We've stayed at this property 4 times in the past 6 years, and have loved every day we have spent! Owners are magnificent...condo is beautiful...proximity to town and the beach is close enough to walk, but far enough away to have peace and quiet.

Perfect Mexican Getaway
Rosa Blanca was the perfect Mexican getaway. Situated in the quiet and quaint town of Playacar, yet only minutes on foot to the hustle and bustle and excellent dining of Playa del Carmen. The beach is a easy walk from the condo and nearly everything (including Walmart, Mega, beaches up North) is accessible by bike, three of which are provided in the unit. We were so grateful for them. The unit itself is spacious, nicely decorated and has nearly all of the amenities of home- lovely bathrooms, comfortable furniture, stocked kitchen, and the smaller details like beach chairs, extra towels, laundry soap etc. Purified water is provided countertop, and that is what we used for cooking, washing produce, brushing teeth etc. Laurie, the condo owner was more than welcoming and made her self available by email/phone for anything. There are so many great details I am sure I am leaving out, but found all of the reviews I read prior to booking to be accurate. We thank her for everything and hope you'll enjoy staying at Rosa Blanca too!

The neighbors were very quiet and we enjoyed the serene place to come home to each evening after full days at the beach, snorkeling, shopping, visiting restaurants etc. We enjoyed having the beach towels, sand toys, chairs and bags to use - the Caddy Sack, what an amazing contraption! We enjoyed exploring the Playacar development on foot, as we are joggers, and the nice sidewalks made for a great running track, the neighborhood is beautiful. Be mindful of pedestrian crosswalks, which are painted and slippery when wet. Our 2 kids were able to handle the walk into Playa del Carmen 2x a day easily. We took advantage of being so close to the ferry and enjoyed a day trip over to Cozumel. Thanks for the awesome stay!

Wonderful place, excellent location!
This is such a wonderful condo!!! We were a little nervous about the travel alerts but NEVER felt uncomfortable or unsafe in this beautiful gated community! The owner, Laurie, is beyond conscientious and has a binder in the unit that has EVERYTHING you will ever need for reference on the area. She even has 3/5 index cards of detailed directions in Spanish to give to cab drivers! So helpful!!! In the unit there is a magic jack phone that provides free long distance to the States. We had left a sick dog behind and were able to check in with the dog sitter at no cost! This was such a comfort!! My daughter and I are runners and there is a bike/walking path that surrounds the entire community which is about five miles. The neighborhood is beautifully landscaped and properties very well kept we also rode the nice bikes around these paths. I loved staying here! I can't say enough about how lovely it is and did I mention private? This is a 12 unit property and it was so quiet and we had the pool to ourselves. We were so comfortable here in this very clean, well maintained, updated and finely decorated condo. All the comforts you need electronically too... Great WIFI!!! Lots of games and extras. One rainy day we had a family monopoly game! This property is exactly as the owner has described it. Only good surprises like the chilled plastic glasses in the freezer!! Awesome place!!!

Superb Location in Playa Del Carmen
Casa de Sueno is perfectly situated for enjoying both the excitement of 5th Ave. and the natural beauty of the area. It is just a short stroll to the beautiful beach and the amazing restaurants and shopping of Playa del Carmen but situated in the most beautiful tropical atmosphere imaginable. The casa is spacious and beautifully decorated and contains all the little things (beach towels and chairs, bikes, kitchen, laundry and bath supplies) that make a condo vacation enjoyable. The owners and local property manager were very helpful all through the planning of our vacation and we can't say enough good things about them. My wife, two daughters and I have traveled extensively and rate Casa de Sueno right at the top of our list of favorite lodgings. We can't wait to go back!

We Loved Our Stay!
We spent two weeks at this condo with our family. Everything was just as described by the owners. We were a short 10 min walk to 5th ave as well as the beach. The beach was the best beach in Playa as there were just white sands and minimal people. We were very impressed with how well the unit was stocked with so many features including two bikes with locks, beach chairs and umbrellas, and plenty of pool floaties not to mention masks and snorkels, beach bags, coolers, sun hats etc. The condo was updated with comfy new furniture (and beds), and was impressively spacious! The management always responded immediately to our needs and supplied us with plenty of fresh drinking water upon request. The owners called the day we checked in to insure everything went smoothly and to see if there was anything we needed for our stay which we were very impressed by their personalized care. We will definately come back to this condo on our next trip to Playa and have already recommended it to our friends and family.

Perfect stay in Playacar !
Playacar is ideal for families looking for a safe place to stay in Playa del Carmen and access to a great beach. Mark' and Laurie's condo is ideally located in Playacar 5min from 5th Avenue and 10 min from the beach. The condo is very, very, well appointed (bikes, pool toys, snorkel gears, beach towels, etc.), the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms very spacious. Shopping for food is easy either by taxi or by bike. We would cook most of the meals and go to the restaurant every 2-3 days. Lots of restaurants are within walking distance or a short cab rid away. We would finish every evening with a swim and a drink at the pool after a full day at the beach or some excursions (note: the organized tours had no problem picking us uo directly at the condo.) The condo also gives you access to the reef club resort (no food or drink included). We went there a few times and enjoyed it (a great option if you don't want to carry your beach chairs and beach umbrellas) but we were always happy to come back to our private condo and almost private pool as there was not often people in the pool. We stayed for 3 weeks in the condo, 3 adults and 1 child. Another plus, if you are doing an extended stay like we did, full cleaning of the condo (including change of bedding and clean towels) one a week is included. Very nice service and very efficient. Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay with guaranteed sun !

Best Family Vacation So Far!!
My family and I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this condo! We spent 10 days here and we can't wait to return for another family vacation!! Where do I begin? The condo was within walking distance to most of the activities that we wanted to do, in a very safe gated community. It was neat, clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with almost all the conveniences of home, plus a fabulous pool! The owners were wonderful with phone calls and emails with any questions we had about booking, transportations questions and gave us great info/suggestions of things to do with our children while visiting. Once we arrived there... There is a large binder of all the answers to all the questions we had about Playa del Carmen, they thought of everything! The concierge/management staff were amazing!!! They were so helpful by meeting us at the airport, transportation services, meeting us at the condo the moment we arrived and any questions we had during our 10 day stay. They drew us a map to the local supermarkets and gave us info on the best restaurants in the area. There is plenty to do and see in the local area, and the condo is conviently located to go in any direction either by walking, cab or bus!! We can't thank the owners enough for such a wonderful vacation experience!!!

It is located in a quiet gated community within easy walking distance (10 minutes) of the beach, the ferry to Cozumel, and 5th Avenue. We did not rent a car and did not need one as there were plenty of restaurants in walking range. If you do wish to venture further out, cabs are plentiful. The condo is equipped with almost everything you need other than your own clothing and personal items. The pool is beautiful and we had it to ourselves most of the time (except when we were joined by a coatimundi!). The owner has left a notebook in the condo with extensive and valuable information about the local area, including restaurant recommendations, transportation tips, etc. If you're looking for some peace and quiet and aren't afraid of a little walking to reach the main tourist area, this is a great place to stay!

This condo had everything you could possibly need. Beds were comfy and the bathrooms are huge. Sometimes in condos, the bathrooms are so small you can't turn around. These are great. The walk to town is very quick and I never felt unsafe. Never rented a car, did not need one. Walked to Walmart then took a cab back with my food purchases. The pool here is great. Have to admit, I like being at a pool more than the beach and this one is perfect. I believe there are only 12 condos in this complex, so the pool is never crowded. And, I loved sitting on the balcony, drinking my morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Watching the wildlife is fun!! The recommended restaurants on the condo website are extremely helpful. I loved everyone of them that I tried. Don Chendo's and Curry Omm were my favorites. Yes, I went to Mexico and ate pizza and Indian food. I live in Texas, so Mexican food is our normal diet. Don't get me wrong, I did eat Mexican food and El Fogon was my favorite but Cafe Andrade was right up there! You will not regret giving this condo a try! Nice property, Nice amenities
My family had a great time in the pool and proximity to town and the beach was easy. It was nice to be up on the third floor with the breezes and down at the pool neighbors were friendly and pleasant. Everything was clean when we came in that was very nice. Having parking was a plus and, at the end of the day, it was a nice home to relax in. When we had a problem with the water heater failing it was taken care of promptly and professionally. The air conditioners could use a servicing since they are noisy but that was only an issue because the neighbor had a water leak and his pressure pump was constantly cycling... the only reason we had to use the AC was because of that noise.... the breezes were perfect for sleeping with the sliding doors open. The maid service, gardener and maintenance staff were all very nice people and they never felt intrusive to us and we had great conversations with them.

A Dream Rental in Playa!!
Where do I begin?! Mark and Laurie have such a wonderful home and we felt immediately like it was our own. The Moskito property management team are consummate professionals and were on-hand for questions, suggestions, etc. throughout our entire stay. The location is perfect; close walk to a public beach with a pretty private feel which was really nice. Similarly close walk to 5th Avenue with an endless array of shops, restaurants, bars, and other entertainment options. The information binder that Laurie created and left in the condo for our reference was so painstakingly maintained that we really were never at a loss for suggestions on things to do, places to see, etc. We can't wait to come back and continue exploring all of the stuff we didn't get to during our short 1-week stay! I have already recommended the Rosa Blanca condo to a few friends planning their own vacations and after looking at our pictures and the cozy (yet spacious) accommodations, they are very excited to book their own trips! One suggestion: definitely try and venture off of 5th Avenue; we found so much delicious food on 10th Avenue and also were pleasantly surprised at how much cheaper gifts are "off the strip". Check out Manne's Biergarten on Calle 4 Norte between 10th and 15th Avenues; nice little back patio area to enjoy drinks! Laurie was so pleasant to work with (as was Laura with Moskito), that it really took ALL of the stress out of vacation planning. We cannot wait to return to Playa and look forward to enjoying the condo again! Also, we made a trip to Tulum for a couple of days while friends stayed behind in the condo and got engaged! We had a wonderful time this week in Playa del Carmen! The condo is wonderful – we were looking for a peaceful getaway and this fit the bill perfectly! We rented a car which was great to have freedom to come and go down the coast. We visited Coba, Tulum, Akumal and Selvatica. We enjoyed the chairs at WahWah’ anad had a great meal and drinks. We also enjoyed being about toe walk everytwhere we wanted to go in town. Papa Charley’s was our fairoite restaurant, ahthough we had wonderful Mexican food numerous times. Our adventure snorkeling was also a great time, except for the boat breaking down on the way back. Luckily we were able to get towed back to shore and didn’t have to swim! We can’t wait to come back!

VRBO.com Review: This condo is the best for the people who don't like the big chain hotels and would like to get a taste of local environment while still seeking for high standard accommodation. It was the warm hospitality from Laurie (owner) and Laura (from Moskito) made this condo better than other places. Even before you decide, feel free to email them, you will have all your questions answered in no time with the best suggestions. Transportation: The taxies are quite convenient, but with two little kids and all the stuff we needed to carry around, we decided to rent a car directly from the airport which saved us some money. Driving is fairly easy to all destinations as long as you have a GPS. We saved all the destinations into the GPS including the condo location into GPS, and had no problem. Gas stations are easy to find along the main highway. There is designated parking space at the condo.
Beach: The condo is located within walking distance from downtown Playa del Carmen. But if you plan to walk all the way across the town, you might need to take a taxi back home. There is a trail to the beach about 15 mins walking. Very nice beach with miles of white sand, and no crowd!!! Strollers are not easy to access the trail. You won't find milky blue water and coral reef here. there are better places for snorkeling, but you can definitely enjoy the warm wavy water and the white sand. Food: If you have limit budget like us, go buy groceries at Walmart or Mega. They are both located in downtown. At both locations, you can find US standard groceries. Buy tropical fruit instead of apples and peaches. You will be surprised with the quality and price. There are taxis available at the entrance.
Condo: The rooms are like 3-4 star hotel. The cleaning lady comes 2 times during our 6 days trip. Plenty of towels to use and everything you need in the kitchen. VRBO.com Review: This condo is the best for the people who don't like the big chain hotels and would like to get a taste of local environment while still seeking for high standard accommodation. It was the warm hospitality from Laurie (owner) and Laura (from Moskito) made this condo better than other places. Even before you decide, feel free to email them, you will have all your questions answered in no time with the best suggestions. Transportation: The taxies are quite convenient, but with two little kids and all the stuff we needed to carry around, we decided to rent a car directly from the airport which saved us some money. Driving is fairly easy to all destinations as long as you have a GPS. We saved all the destinations into the GPS including the condo location into GPS, and had no problem. Gas stations are easy to find along the main highway. There is designated parking space at the condo.
Beach: The condo is located within walking distance from downtown Playa del Carmen. But if you plan to walk all the way across the town, you might need to take a taxi back home. There is a trail to the beach about 15 mins walking. Very nice beach with miles of white sand, and no crowd!!! Strollers are not easy to access the trail. You won't find milky blue water and coral reef here. there are better places for snorkeling, but you can definitely enjoy the warm wavy water and the white sand. Food: If you have limit budget like us, go buy groceries at Walmart or Mega. They are both located in downtown. At both locations, you can find US standard groceries. Buy tropical fruit instead of apples and peaches. You will be surprised with the quality and price. There are taxis available at the entrance.
Condo: The rooms are like 3-4 star hotel. The cleaning lady comes 2 times during our 6 days trip. Plenty of towels to use and everything you need in the kitchen. They have also put together an information book that offers many suggestions for restaurants, attractions, getting around town and just about anything you can think of. If you are looking for a quite relaxing vacation, then you can enjoy some sun at the beach, lounge by the quite pool, sit on the balcony and watch the tropical birds, or even feed some of the neat local animals such as the coatimundi and agouti. If you are more into the shopping and eating scene, then the location couldn’t have been any better. It is located just a short 5-10 minutes’ walk to 5th Avenue, which is the premier shopping district in Playa. There you can find everything from high end stores, to local vendors. The restaurants are great, and there is even a Starbucks as soon as you get on the main strip… which is a must have for my wife. We can’t wait to go back!

We were so happy to have found this condo online which was perfect for our family of 4. We had been to Playa before and stayed in Playacar but in one of the hotels. This time we decided to rent a condo and we were so happy we did. This condo is so well equipped, you really just have to worry about a few change of clothes and travel very light. It has a washer/dryer in the unit that makes it very convenient to throw a load in every few days. We also made go use of the bikes since everything is so close but the bikes with the basket especially come in handy when you go to the grocery store for groceries. We also used the snorkel mask and fins and beach chairs and coolers...all things you don't really think about when traveling but you surely need when you're there.

We especially loved the binder Laurie (the owner) and her family have put together with SO much information, especially the reviews and tips on local restaurants and even tips on using public transportation which we bravely conquered after reading the binder (and saved a TON of money by doing so). Moskito (the Property Management) is awesome and always available at any time of day. They even give you their cell number in case you need to reach them after hours. Our two teenagers very much appreciated the wifi but hubby and I were just happy hanging out at the beach (about a 10minute walk from condo). We were very pleased with all the services and the accessibility to the owner as we were planning. If we had any questions we could email her and she would get right back to us with an answer. She also emailed just prior to our departure, as we arrived in Playa, and shortly after leaving...just making sure everything was running smoothly and that we were happy....talk about Customer Service!! We were very pleased and will definitely come back and recommend Casa Sueno to all our friends and family!!

We stayed for 6 days at Rosa Blanca and had a great time. The condo is walking distance from the beach and the path to get there is really neat. There are little ruins on the walk down and plenty of beach area to relax. The beaches in front of the strip in Playa are always packed but there is much less traffic in Playacar beach. We felt very safe in the gated community where the condo is located. The neighbors in the condo where very nice as well, one resident actually gave our car a jump when we left the dome light on the night before and woke up needed to get to the airport on Sunday with a dead battery in the rental car. What a savior she was because we are not fluent in Spanish and no one knew what we where talking about!! The condo is nicely decorated and the AC works GREAT. The pool was a little warmer than we preferred but we didn't come all the way from Texas to be in the pool anyway. We enjoyed cooking in the condo and all the suggestions in the book the owners made which is located inside the condo. It is within walking distance to the strip and all the nightlife and beach restaurants and bars. We had a great time in Playa and will hopefully return someday soon.

Our stay in Casa Sueno was absolutely magnificent! The location makes everything you do very convenient. The beach, restaurants, and shopping is only a couple of minutes away. The one day we decided to stay we ordered from Texas Burger Co. and it was fast and delicious. During our stay in Playa Del Carmen we experienced amazing cuisines form El Fogon and Carboncitos. Having the maid service was also a great benefit. Our stay here is certainly one that we will NOT forget.

A little slice of Heaven! My husband and I stayed here for a week and we are pleased to say that it certainly exceeded our expectations. The condo is beautiful with so much charm and character. The pictures are an accurate reflection of the level of detail in the décor. Laurie responded to all of our questions immediately which was really appreciated. As indicated in the overview, the location is ideal for taking advantage of all Playa del Carmen has to offer. It is only 5-10 minutes, at a leisurely pace, into 5th avenue via a lush and tropical avenue in front of the condo. The best part was being able to start and end the day in the tranquility of this property. The condo has everything you could possibly need during your vacation. The owners have compiled a binder with detailed information on Playa with recommendations of restaurants, tour brochures, suggestions, taxi info etc. We made great use of it. The property manager, Laura, was extremely helpful and helped us get settled when we arrived. The owners installed a magic jack which helped us to keep in touch with family and friends in Canada. Loved this feature! We highly recommend this property. We have already booked a return visit for next year! Thank you again Laurie and Laura. You made our first venture into condo vacationing a real treat and a great experience. See ya next year!!!

The Perfect Vacation Home! Everything about Laurie's Casa de Sueno at Rosa Blanca Condomiums in Playacar was what we had hoped for. Laura and Diana of Moskito both met us at the condo on our arrival just to make sure everything was in order. The complex itself is beautiful and quiet. We had the pool to ourselves. The condo is spacious, clean, and made a great base camp for our vacation. There are even two TV's in case not everyone can agree on what to watch. We have stayed in homes, resorts, and hotels on previous visits to the region. Staying at Rosa Blanca was perfect for us because of the location. We like spending our evenings in PDC searching for the perfect taco but also prefer getting out for day trips to the various beaches and places of interest to the South of PDC. Although we rented a car, it is completely unnecessary. Taxis are cheap and plentiful and the collectivos are a fun option for the slightly more adventurous. Laurie as well as the girls from Moskito were a joy to work with and always accessible. I would highly recommend a stay at Rosa Blanca to anyone planning a vacation in the area.

Laurie and Mark, thank you for the use of your condo at Rosa Blanca. We had a wonderful vacation. Laura (from Moskito) arrived within minutes of our arrival. She was so helpful in showing us around the condo (we've never had anyone do that!). Our stay at Rosa Blanca provided everything we needed - bikes, pool toys, chairs, etc. Gabi the housekeeper was also great.
We used Yucatreks Tour for our day - long trip to Chichen Itza and a cenote. They were A+ (highly recommend). We took a colectivo to Tulum and Akumal Beach one day. We had a great time! We'd recommend taking the colectivo. We didn't see turtles, but had a great lunch at Lol Ha. We also went zip lining/cenote through Selvetica. Again - wonderful experience!
Shopping - we're not big shoppers, so a few visits along 5th Avenue was enough. However we found 10th and other streets more interesting. Food - we shopped at Mega and ate breakfast and lunch at the condo as well as several dinners. We walked, but took taxi with our groceries back. We really liked Carboncitos on 5th and El Fogon (across from Mega). We also had street food - which was really good . . . and cheap.
I enjoyed an hour bike ride every morning - making a couple of laps around the circle.
We didn't find out about the Mexican ice cream store until just a couple of days ago - it's up 5th & 14th. Lots of flavors and free tasting. Skip the ice cream along 5th and make your way up to real Mexican ice cream.
The beach - the water and beach are AMAZING. Nothing like looking at the aqua marine ocean and relaxing. The beach was never over-crowded. People watching is always fun, too. Coming back for a dip in the pool was nice.

We loved staying here at El Sueno in RosaBlanca. We actually think we had the best unit . . . overlooking the pool, the golf course while at the same time we had that big tree that provided beautiful bird songs and shade. Always a little breeze up on the balcony where we spent a lot of time: early morning for coffee, happy hour after an afternoon at the beach mostly and sometimes at the pool. Neighbors are very friendly and always ready to give us a few tips on good places to go in the city. Last week was spoiled by noise due to major renovations but I guess that one of the cons of being in a condo and most likely out of your control. All in all, we would come back. Thank you for thinking of so many details in the condo, providing everything we could possibly need.

First time we were away from home so long and we weren't sure about staying five weeks? What a surprise, we already leave tomorrow and it feels like we just arrived! I guess that says it all!!

We also took a tour with Yucatreks to Chichen Itza. Great tour! Mitch is the best. Highly recommend his tour company, www.yucatreks.com. We feel like we belong here and plan to continue renting until we can buy our own unit at RosaBlanca! The time you have devoted to your condo and to those of us who now consider it home is much appreciated. You and Mark are not just "owners" to us . . . you are our friends! Before I go into how amazing our trip to Playa del Carmen was, I want to acknowledge and congratulate you both on a spectacular condo, and thank you sincerely for all the “small details” that make this apartment outstanding. This was our final destination on a 6 week trip through the USA and Mexico. Having a 5 and a 3 year old child, we decided to rent condos rather than stay in hotels. Without reservation, your condo was THE BEST condo we stayed in. The location is incredible, the complex beautiful, your neighbors incredibly friendly and kind and the layout of the condo, perfect for us. However, it was the additional details of the condiments, paper towels, coffee, and the wonderful resources in the laundry room that gave your condo such a personal touch. The effort & detail you went to in your emails & website to ensure we were fully equipped with information and directions was phenomenal, and we were deeply grateful.
I want to also mention wonderful Maria who was so fantastic; and Bianca who Maria organized for us as a babysitter.
We absolutely LOVED Playa. It is everything you imagine paradise to be. We took Maria’s advice and visited Xcaret. It was really impressive, so very well done, and the evening show was brilliant.
My husband took the opportunity to dive the “Taj Mahal” and was so impressed, he felt it was the best diving he had ever done. I also took Maria’s advice and took a tour exploring Rio Secreto. It was absolutely beautiful. We have loved Playa del Carmen and can’t wait to come back!

This is a beautiful and spacious condo with all the amenities of home. We loved the fully equipped kitchen ( complete with blender!) and cooked many meals there. The living room is large and and has comfy furniture. There are bikes, beach chairs,and even snorkel equipment. In short everything you need! Two weeks before our arrival the pool sprang a leak and had to be drained for repairs. However Laurie promptly notified me, and she and her crew made arrangements for us to use the reef club instead--and even offered to put us into a different location with a pool. We chose to stay and are so pleased that we did. The condo is just 15 minutes or less from the beach, via a shady walk through Mayan ruins! It is equally close to the downtown center. But it is in a quiet neighborhood- very peaceful and relaxing. I cannot recommend this place enough! The best place we've stayed at in Mexico.

We are loving the condo! I feel very fortunate that we stumbled upon your beautiful condo. We had no problems with the transfer from the airport to the condo, and Maria was here waiting to greet us. She then spent quite a bit of time answering our questions and sharing invaluable information with us. We have since then called her a few times with questions on the condo cell phone provided for our use. You think of everything, right down to the aloe vera we found in the storage room for our sunburns.

We can't say enough good things about Maria, she is very knowledgeable about the area, very professional and personable. She is a true gem, hold onto her for sure!
The condo was exceptionally clean, which is something I'm very picky about and it was fully stocked with almost everything one could need. There were just a few items you may want to consider, these are minor, but it is something that we came across wishing we had.
1) note pad and pen, for grocery lists, etc.
2) umbrellas for guests to carry around when it's raining.
3) flashlights, in case of power outages, and in our case, during a hurricane or tropical storm.
Also, fyi: there were just a few maintenance items for future guests. These were not a big deal to us, so we did not report them while we were there.
1) we could not get the stopper to stay down in the bath tub so the water would just drain out. It was probably us not knowing how to work it. :) If that is the case, a simple sign explaining would be helpful, like the one on the wall about filling up the tub with water over the jets before using was helpful.
2) the pull cord on the ceiling fan light in the guest bedroom was off so we could not turn on/off that light. We left it sitting on the dresser in that room.
Again, minor issues. We did call maintenance to come fix the air conditioner in the guest bedroom when it was leaking water. They were very prompt in arriving and fixing the problem. Unfortunately we didn't notice the other problems mentioned above until later, and like I said, they were not a big deal to us.
Again, we had a wonderful time, and we are grateful to have stayed in such a beautiful, safe, well kept property inside and out. The young grounds keeper, I wish I could remember his name, helped us carry our luggage up the stairs upon our arrival, and though he spoke very little English, and us very little Spanish, he would always smile and wave. Because of hurricane Ernesto bringing two days of wind and rain, we were unable to visit Akumal and the sea turtles, and a few of the other beaches, so we will need to make arrangements sometime in the near future to come back...oh darn. :)
P.S. Laurie, you wanted to know my thoughts on Xcaret. In my opinion, it was crowded, overpriced and overrated. I wish we would have done something else that day, but now we know for future visits, right?

And it is always nice to hear how responsive our property managers are when a guest reports a need or a problem. We are truly blessed with a great staff. For future guests: I can report that the stopper in the bathroom and pull cord for the fan have been replaced (a new ceiling fan is coming soon). We have also restocked the condo with pens and notepaper, as well as two umbrellas and a flashlight. These items need replenishing often as they are easily taken home by mistake, but we try to keep up.

We had a fantastic family vacation in Laurie and Mark's condo! We were there 8 great days. Since we are from the same city, Laurie personaly met with us and gave us tons of tips for getting around Playa and the surrounding areas. We traveled with our two daughters ages 10 and 14. They loved it! The condo is very pretty and had such nice amenities.
Laurie's recomendation that we go down to Akumal to swim with the turtles was great as we ended up going there twice. We also loved walking into to Playa each night and seeing all the people on 5th Ave. The beaches are so beautiful and just seem to go on with out ever stopping.
We chose to swim with the Dolphins while there as well and this was one the best experiences any of us has ever had. (Be prepared to pay dearly for the dolphin pics though as you can't bring in a camera) Our other big adventure was heading down to see Mayan ruins at Tulum. We splurged for the private tour guide and were so glad we did. Otherwise, we would have just seen it and not learned the planning and history behind the ruins.
Upon arriving I made my first mistake and didn't listen to Laurie's advice about taking a cab from the bus station because we were traveling with children. Trying to haul all our luggage without knowing where we were going in the summer heat was not our best move. I listened to all of Laurie's advice from that point forward and things went much better lol. The collectivos she mentioned were very handy and a cheap way to travel. Our girls weren't too fond of them but but we loved how much cheaper it was and let us experience more of the local flavor.
Laurie and Mark's restaurant recommendations were very accurate and much appreciated. We often ate breakfast at the condo, packed a lunch and then ate out for dinner.
We also had the unusual experience to watch the summer Olympics on Mexican TV in spanish. We never knew that archery was such a big sport in Mexico! It was great to go back to the condo after a great dinner and watch the Olympics before bed.
When we go back to Playa Del Carmen this is where we will be staying again!

I will start by saying that our trip to Playa Del Carmen was a family getaway for my mom, sister, and I. My mom isn't in the greatest of health, therefore, my sister and I wanted to do something special with her as a family while she still has the physically ability to participate and function in an able manner. Playa, and Case de Sueno, were both absolutely amazing. I will first start by saying that the condo itself is absolutely stunning. This 3rd floor penthouse overlooked the local golf course and the condo pool area. It was a fabulous view. It was amazing to wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee on the patio and listen and look at the beauty of nature all around us. The patio of the condo was my favorite thing about it by far. My mother and sister would typically sleep in, so my mornings consisted of bike (the best) riding throughout town and than having a cup of coffee on the patio and doing a bit of reading. Wifi in the condo was also a very nice feature. In paradise you don't want to work or have to use the internet, but there are situations that may arise where you need it, and it is a good option to have if needed. I brought my laptop, but all that is necessary is a tablet such as an Ipad. I loved having cooking utensils in the condo. I would cook breakfast every morning. I would make breakfast tacos if I didn't feel like riding my bike to the taco stands on 5th (amazing for only $1)... The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you need to cook if you choose to. Wal-Mart is a 15 minute walk, and that is a great option for buying groceries. You can also save some $ on souvenirs there as well compared to on 5th. The bedrooms are lovely. The master bedroom is very spacious with a king size bed, and it has a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom. There is a floor safe in this room as well, which we used often. The guest bedroom consist of a full and twin sized bed, both of which are extremely comfortable. There is a shower in the bathroom attached to this bedroom. I fell in love with the shower head, and am now looking to buy one for my apartment at home. Both bedrooms have mini patios which overlook the neighborhood and are very nice. The storage/laundry room is amazing. We washed a ton of clothes while there as everything gets sandy. Don't over pack. Save room to bring souvenirs back. Overall, the condo is a 9.5/10. There isn't much else I could ask for or want. We loved our stay at Casa de Sueno, and would suggest it to any body!!!

I just wanted to let you know that we had a great time and your condo is lovely. The weather wasn’t that great and the beach was really windy so we ended up lounging by the pool a few days. It was really nice. We did take the Collectivo to Akumal and I snorkeled with sea turtles, which was amazing. I want to go back on a sunnier, warmer day!
I also wanted to thank you for keeping the detailed notebook – I had an allergic reaction and my lips burned and swelled up like balloons so I could barely speak, so I ended up calling the doctor you recommended. He made a house call and gave me two shots! The swelling and pain went down in an hour. I don’t know what I would have done otherwise - I wouldn’t have felt comfortable calling him without your recommendation.

We stayed at Laurie's place with another couple for 10 days. The apartment is impeccable; it has all that you need : a fully equipped kitchen, beach parasols and chairs and even 2 great bikes! So my husband and friends went cycling many afternoons. A couple of times they were stopped by people who wanted to know where they had rented the bikes( apparently a very coveted instrument!) and when they answered they had been provided by the apartment's owner they were very surprised and said they couldn't find a bike rental! The gated community is very safe and within walking distance to the high street which is a big perk because we saw many condos far away from the main entrance. (5th Avenue) We had maid service every other day so it was practically like being in a hotel but with the comfort of an apartment. The linen was very soft and Laurie leaves toiletries for the guests ( lovely detail!) The apartment has two TVplasmas , 1 in the reception area and 1 in the master bedroom.And the master bedroom's bathroom is fantastic with a huge jacuzzi. We enjoyed having breakfast in the balcony overlooking the golf course. On our arrival we were met by the condo's manager, a VERY professional lady who took great care that we understood how everything worked. Laurie and Mark, Laura with Moskito was great. Our flight was late and she kept in constant contact until we arrived in Playa. Then introduced us to your wonderful condo. Location is great, have met some of the neighbors and enjoy their company at the pool - the pool is great! Thank you for the floaties, etc.
Andreas is a great groundskeeper, very friendly and hard working - keeping the pool clean is quite an effort! We loved the animals - saw a fawn and a deer on the golf course! The birds certainly expect your attention.
My wife spent 3 months researching for an affordable condo in Playa that met our criteria (location, amenities, cost, etc). My initial phone conversation with you answered a lot of the "unknown" questions and sold us. My wife has been to Playa 4 times and your condo is by far the best location, amenities and neighbors. We will recommend it to friends and will be back.

Really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks so much for all your help regarding what to do, where to eat, etc. We also travelled by colectivo and it was so simple and cheap. We found a couple of new restaurants for you - Era Ora - family owned Italian, Yaxche - up market Mexican, Blue Lobster - great seafood, and Alux - dry cenote cave turned into restaurant and lounge - didn't have food, just drinks and took tons of pictures.

Hi, We had such a lovely time in your beautiful home which we will recommend to our friends. Staying in the well-appointed apartment meant we could walk anywhere in Playa Del Carmen: the beach, 5th Avenue, just walking to the local shops was fun and on our first night getting a take-away from the little Mexican restaurant next to the OXXO was so easy -which is just what you need after a ten hour flight. The food was fab. We had a hire car so we did lots of day trips starting earlier in the morning thus avoiding any tour buses such as at Coba and having the place almost to ourselves to enjoy. One of the tours we did with other people that we liked was with Aquafun in Cancun. Basically you drive your own speedboat through mangroves then out to the ocean and go snorkeling. If you do this I would suggest you take a cover-up as it gets cold on your way back to the dock and a few sweets help keep your blood sugar levels up. This was our second time to Mexico and we would recommend using Alamo car hire. We had no issues with the car hire at all; driving was easy and fun - nice to do things at your own pace. This was a must for going to the Sian Biosphere. If you picture deserted beaches with lots of blue sky, turquoise seas and white beaches, this is the dream - just drive as far as you can then park but take a picnic as there are no restaurants - no beach umbrellas to rent but do find yourself a shady palm tree and enjoy the view. We love nature and love to see animals but I get very upset at seeing them in cages or animals in zoos or any kind of captivity so it was so fab to have the wild animals come to visit the garden. We saw so many beautiful birds and to wake up to the sound of the exotic was super. We loved looking at coatimonde and some small deer-like creatures that we are still trying to identify, but whatever they are the are very quiet. Also we have been entertained with a flying display whilst enjoying a margarita by some bats. I tried to photograph them but they move so fast. Also a big thank you to the nice lady who kept the apartment looking so beautiful and clean and of course Mikaela who was lovely in every way. We had the most amazing time in Mexico! It was a complete blessing and exactly what we needed! The condo is amazing and although I never played golf, the view off of the balcony was beautiful. Mikaela and Maura checked in on us a couple of times and Maura answered a couple of questions for us, but we mostly explored on our own. It was so much fun learning about Playa! The condo is absolutely wonderful. We stayed there for a full week last year and loved every minute of it. Mark and Laurie have provided all the comforts and convenience of home in the condo including satelitte TV and high speed internet. Having a well equipped kitchen and laundry room made things so much easier. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms feature high end materials including a jetted tub in the master. We loved the patio and pool as well. Being able to walk downstairs and jump in the pool - which we usually had to ourselves is a great benefit. The Playa Car location is very convenient, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go in Playa del Carmen and always felt safe there. Mark and Laurie have gone to great lengths to provide very detailed information about the area for their guests. You don't have to guess about a restaurant or excursion - simply refer to their binder, everything you need to know is there. This was our first visit to Playa del Carmen, and we absolutely loved it. We are going back with our children and grandson this summer, and can't wait to get there.
